Nowadays, in the big environment of the chicken industry, farmers are particularly concerned about how to improve production performance! Chicken lice and mites directly affect the health of chickens. At the same time, there is also the risk of spreading diseases, which seriously affects the production efficiency. How should it be solved?
First, start from the root cause. Thoroughly clean the chicken coop, chicken coop and utensils during the empty house period, and spray the site with insecticides to eliminate chicken lice, etc.; It is found that the body is attacked by chicken lice and chicken mites, and drug treatment is used in time.
At present, there are a wide variety of deworming drugs for chickens on the market, so you must choose carefully. In addition to choosing large manufacturers and guaranteed deworming products when purchasing, we should also pay attention to the method of deworming to avoid drug residues and cause secondary damage to the flock.
There are three common ways to remove chicken lice and chicken mites:
1. Medicated bath
It is the best way to completely kill lice and mites on the market, but it can only be done in summer. This method requires chickens to be soaked in the liquid medicine. Therefore, the chickens are prone to stress and affect the egg production rate. In severe cases, the chickens may die. At the same time, the drug remains in the chickens for a long time, affecting egg production and growth.
2. Spray
It is suitable for all seasons of the year, and the labor cost is relatively low. It is one of the most commonly used methods of deworming in chicken farms. This method generally uses pesticides and insecticides for spraying and killing insects, which is quick and effective, but it is easy to cause drug residues in chickens and eggs, which is harmful to health. Due to the short timeliness of spray administration, coupled with the rapid reproduction of chicken lice and chicken mites, it is easy to cause incomplete deworming and repeated attacks.
3. Sand Bath
It is only suitable for ground-raised chickens, not for caged chickens. Although this method saves time and trouble, it cannot completely eliminate lice and mites, and can only control the harm to a slight degree.
